Thermal Strut® Skylight

System Description

The CGS Skylight System incorporates a rafter purlin design which allows the drainage of any incidental moisture to "dump" into the rafter and out at the sill. The system is thermally broken at the pressure plate at the top edge of the sealed unit and is pressure equalized to allow the system to perform as a "Rain Screen".

Materials

Aluminum alloy 6063 T5 or T6 from commercial grade aluminum that may contain 25% recycled material. Extruded PVC thermal break separating the exterior and interior extrusions providing a single strength section of high performing thermal and structural qualities.

Finish

  • Standard hardcolour anodized finishes of clear, bronze, and dark bronze meeting AAMA 611 specifications
  • Standard or custom painted finishes of factory applied coatings meeting AAMA 2603, 2604,2605 specifications
  • Two tone finishes available subject to minimum quantity

Performance Testing

  • Air Infiltration per ASTM E283…..0.0003 m3/s*m2, 0.06cfm/ft2 MEETS FIXED PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS UNDER NAFS08
